I’m off to see it on Thursday in Bristol, England. There is a q and a after the show with the producer. Initially, I wasn’t interested simply because I wanna try and forget about the cult but there is SO much interest in the xdub community locally that I decided to go along with a group.

Did your ability to work get affected by waking up to TTATT?
by stuckinarut2 injust curious.. when you started to wake up to the truth about the truth, did the shock and the whole experience distract you from your usual activities such as performing at your place of work?.
did you become so consumed by researching, and the subsequent factual discoveries, that it affected your ability to carry out daily tasks?.

It is all consuming..those first months after waking up. I could think of little else. Shall we call it pcsd? Post cult stress disorder.
On the other hand after that stage of the recovery process I gave my business some real focus, working harder and longer without all the washtowel distractions. I realised it is a positive thing; not negative, to try and improve our material outlook.

Hello to you.
You are right to be concerned. Jehovah’s Witnesses are a high control cult, the leadership is continuously grooming its members to dedicate their lives to the group and seeks to manipulate each and every aspect of a members life to achieve this.
The group uses personal ‘bible studies’, magazines, books, meetings, videos and so on to indoctrinate/brainwash individuals. Within this cult indoctrination material the group use the FOG model. Narcissistically using fear, obligation and guilt to to achieve its ends- to control the life of a person, ruthlessly breaking up families if necessary.
It’s a difficult job you have on your hands since love can be blind. But you must forewarn your daughter of the dangers of JWs. JWfacts.com is a good place to start.

Banners for London Protest
by Farmer Jim1 inhi folks, i’m attending the london protest at the excel convention in august and am making some banners.
i’m aiming for short but memorable sentences that will stick in jws minds and also make them laugh a little at their own organisation.. my best so far is ‘this is not a protest, it’s an overlapping protest’.
has anyone got any ideas for more?.

Only you will know the consequences of asking not to have a study. Will it create unbearable situation at home? Will your aunt be angry? If you’re not sure could you test the water?
“Aunt I would rather not have a study at this time”
when asked why not? You can say
”I attend meetings and that is enough intake for me at this time” “I don’t feel like it” “I just don’t” - always be vague never be controversial by saying “it’s a cult” etc
Be respectful but perhaps politely remind her that Jesus said “let anyone that WANTS to come take life’s water free. Ask her if she is going to force you to have a study.
Tell her that if you have any freedom of choice on the matter you would rather not study at this time since you don’t feel like it.
All of this assumes it won’t create unbearable tension in the house.
If so then study with bob be a respectfully bored student.

If ever you doubt this organisation is a cult you could take note of how many time fear is used on the audience, not being good enough for jehovah or risking death at Armageddon if they don’t ‘adjust’ their thinking.
Count how many times you hear loaded language, ‘the truth’ will probably be used hundreds of times even though it merely appears 3 or 4 times in the bible- it was not an everyday expression of early Christians. Or loaded expressions such as ‘apostate’, ‘pioneer’ and ‘Jehovahs’ organisation’ - which do not occur in the bible at all. Count how many times you hear ‘encourage’ ‘can we encourage you to...’ - we all know this word really means ‘to pressure’ in jw speak. Keep your eyes open kiddo don’t be fooled by the Washtowel Trick society’s propaganda and indoctrination techniques.
Oh and walk around the concourse AS MUCH as possible.
All the best !

After a few short years of taking office he got the economy booming, drastically decreased unemployment and imposed tariffs on foreign trade. His popularity greatly increased. But there were some danger signs such as blaming the country’s problems on those of another race/religion and referring to them as if they were lower than human. Also, he has narsassitic tendencies and acts like a cult leader over his followers- He certainly made his country great again- but it was far to early to judge if Adolf Hitler was a good leader.

The 2018 World Cup - will it stop a nasty aspect?
by The Fall Guy inthe world cup in russia is being used to launch v.a.r.
- video assistant referee.
it will be very interesting to see if/how it affects the almost obligatory cheating offences of pulling/pushing which occur every time players are in each other's penalty area.

I was all for VAR, after all sometimes a match is ruined by a ref mistake or by an act of cheating.
What I hate about VAR is that it kills the moment of passion and glory unique to football- when the ball hits the back of the net. Now we all have to wait a minute while the goal is checked, by which time the drama of the moment has passed.
I’ve got mixed feelings.
